Re: Car buying
Car brokers make a lot of sense when you want to buy old, very fancy cars, that generally speaking only rich white people know who actually has them. Vetting the history of those cars is orders of magnitude more important. For regular cars...I don't get it. I HATE haggling but now that car prices ha...

Also full self driving will absolutely kill you/your family, and your neighbors, so if you are stupid enough to use that shit you deserve what's coming to you. To be fair, so will human drivers. To equivocate the two would be to say it's acceptable for 16 year olds blitzed out of their minds to dri...

Re: Electric Vehicles
A hybrid car will still likely run into issues… What’s your evidence on this? My wife drives a 2010 Hybrid Ford Escape that we bought new. I drive a 2015 Hybrid Ford Fusion that I got new. No significant issues with either vehicle. I was referring to plugin hybrids, which, while the title to the ar...

So my daughter who is working her first "real" job at Wayfair has been saddled with a shitty manager. She's super micro-managing, doesn't communicate clearly, and not big on positive feedback. She's also remote, and this is the first time she's managed people. Daughter has been thrown int...

Re: Electric Vehicles
If you replace cars reasonably often, have a place to charge, and won't ever really stress the range then an electric car is fine. My sister has a Tesla in Hawaii with a house to charge it at and garage to keep it in, that seems perfectly fine. My issue is that most people usually keep their cars fo...

Re: Television (no longer temporary)
Shogun, Fallout, X-Men 97 are all excellent. Agree, Agree, and what is X-Men 97? X-Men 97 is a continuation of the old X-Men cartoon from the 90's. You absolutely do not need to see the previous cartoon to enjoy it. Though huge lore dorks probably should. The whole season is out now but it is a rea...

Shogun is starting strong. I have reservations about the lead, but everyone else is good.
I liked the first few episodes of The Gentlemen, though it is definitely a tier below Shogun.

I cannot stand stugotz or most of the main show regulars. Lebatard himself is fine now that he's getting past his mental stuff a little bit. Will watch PTFO if certain people are on. Sarah Spain not on the ESPN leash is pretty funny. Katie Nolan and Mina Kimes obviously kill.

My freshman dorm floor always hung out together. 20 of us would go down to the common room in the basement of our tower and play ping pong or watch something on TV. There is a (fantasy?) series where the main character opens with commiting statutory rape. I didn't read further to see how they come back from it. author and title escape me. Was written over 30 years ago for sure.
