Re: The Singularity
The other thing is what to do when everyone forgets how to drive. Wont take long to have an entire population incapable of the innocuous but really rather insane duty of piloting your 1/2 ton rocket through and around various stationary and moving obstacles. If pilots cant remember how to fly planes...

Naps are interesting. Would completely revamp the layout of a car. Would you even need seats? Would they face forward? Could the cars be considerably wider? Kinda ceases to be a "car" anymore, more of a human transport mechanism.

Re: The Jurgen Klinsman Experience
Gotcha. I dont like that many sports seem to be changing to a calendar year. They need to have the dates coincide with the sport calendar, otherwise kids get the short/long end in all sports. Could give a crap what the rest of the world does in soccer.

Totally aside from the guy that plays soccer, something about the MEMPHIS on the back of the jersey makes me want one. Would definitely be rocking it if I were in Tennessee. Somehow I doubt the guys name is actually Memphis. Kinda like Roy on the Habs jersey. Or James (like LeBron) Rodriguez. Gringo...

Not a fan of Aldi. Used to do it in school but one of the few places that I dont think is worth the savings. Maybe if I could do all my other shopping there but its definitely a two store shopping deal. It is cheaper but it is kind of a terrible shopping experience. Not comparable to Trader Joes in ...

Re: NFL 2015 Pre-season/Training Camp Thread
im kind of intrigued by Rice or generally older RBs after a layoff. Not sure he gets tons of snaps but id definitely have a body in camp like that and see if he can do more than a hard yard or two. Really the only thing I dont like is that he probably cant play special teams and of course the fact t...

Seems to me that the phone is just a litigation tactic because the NFL prefers to counter Brady's hearing/investigation procedural defect arguments on the basis of Brady's failure to disclose instead of defending the underlying deflation facts. Even though the factual claims require a much higher st...

Guy is a really good QB too. I tend to think Rodgers is at another level than the other guys mentioned but there isnt that big a gap between Brady/Rothlisberger and Wilson. Id bet he will very definitely be able to carry a team to wins over the next 3-4 years. He has a really unique skill in his mov...

I still do the Stella, Newcastle, Amstel thing when I'm at a professional event and don't want to be disappointed or sneered at for a Michelob. Honey Brown and Killians are still best buys around here. Permanently on sale they seem.

Re: 2015 NBA Draft & Offseason
Far as im concerned, you can never really go wrong signing a top tier defensive post, especially one that can run the court. Thats exactly what you can build around. You can find a big stiff to jump shoot if youre scheme wants to go big and you can go get a scoring 4 if you go smaller. Both of those...

No chatter? Can usually count on something from you guys. Saw they stopped to let wrecked guys catch up a day or two ago. Climb by the end of the stage looked like vertical even on TV. When they struggle with a short climb on an early stage its got to be steep.

If any of you are in cities that have the opportunity to host a mega (or even a "mini-mega") event, fight against it . The bidding process here - as well as the potential budget - was done quietly all those years ago. No one had any idea of the disruptions that were coming. This is comple...

Didnt know the NCAA arranged flights. Sounds like a bunch of extra liability to NCAA. A crash of a major D-1 football team (not to me...
