Re: 2013 NFL Week 7

So can anyone explain how exactly the NFL penalizes for pick plays? They were a staple of the Denver offense in the their almost comeback last night. Is it only illegal when the player setting the pick makes contact with the defensive player and the "pick" is really making the defender ru...

Watching Reggie Wayne grab right below his knee after non-contact fall on turf screams ACL tear to me. Mark him DONE for the year! Re: Goon vs. Goon. Don't need it!

To me, it's the my goon vs. your goon fight that's not necessary. I have no problem when a player feels the need to protect himself against another player in the heat of battle. And I know it's hard to eliminate fighting completely. My solution would be that after a players' 3rd fight in a given sea...

Goon vs. Goon. Don't need it!

In a game that saw 10 Fighting Majors handed out to open the season between Toronto and Montreal, the Goon vs. Goon fight in the third saw Leafs Goon Colton Orr lose his balance and while falling pull Habs Goon George Parros down with him. Parros hit the ice face first and at full force. Carried off...

I've just completely changed how I feel about the Middle East. After 9-11, I wanted us to go in and wipe them out. But, the reality today is we don't do that any more, we pussy foot around to try to avoid collateral damage. If we're not trying to win a war, don't go to war. Period. that's how I feel...

All this rain will make it hard for USGA to get the greens to roll as fast as they want. That was a hook. The idea that you don't make that call in double OT is problematic towards the integrity of hockey. I've ranted about this forever (as you all know). If there had been a Pittsburgh penalty called earlier in the 2nd OT then that hook would have been called to even things up. First o...

I would agree, draft the over the top talent at forward before defense at the top of the draft. Think St. Louis wishes it had drafted either Staal or Toews instead of Erik Johnson?
