I replaced a couple of outdoor spigots last year. I did it by calling a plumber and paying with my credit card. I don't fuck with that kind of plumbing.

Yes, and without US support for Ukraine. The GOP has made that very clear. I'm pretty sure this war would have gone very differently had Trump been president.

The new apes movies are absolutely pretty great - solid way to wast 6-7 hours though probably not all at once. Very well done, and of course Serkis is amazing in MoCap. There was an article about him and the movies (he's also involved with possibly making two Hobbit/LOTR adjacent Gollum movies - Ja...

Yeah, like... So a story that kind of shaped how I (we) vacation. It's our honeymoon and we flew out to LA (5/6 hours) and then waited many hours to fly from LA to Papeete, Tahiti, which was something like an 8 or 9 hour flight. Essentially over 20 hours of travel. We get picked up by the resort (o...

It's tricky with Israel. If you criticize, say France, for their policies, nobody calls you a racist or anti-semite. I'm hoping UVA figures out what's broken. They've lost 4 in a row for the first time in a long time. Now, 2 of those 4 losses were to #1 ND and another to #3 Duke (the fourth was to #7 Syracuse - brutal schedule!), but still. This is a team that should be national championship good.
