Re: The Singularity
My buddy is getting a Rivian. He spent about 30 minutes giddily describing it to me on our way to Louisiana last month that I can't wait to see it.

Saw another one in the wild over the weekend at a car show and got to peek in a little. My guess about why they fucked this up is that it's got Elon's fingerprints all over it (moreso than the other models: S, 3, X, Y)(what a fucking dork he is to name them that) . It is such a piece of shit truck....

I'm totally giving him the benefit of the doubt. He was extremely apologetic and sometimes you can tell by the tone it is sincere.

Issue resolved. Kelli sent a nice email asking if there was a reason behind it. He was extremely apologetic saying it was just an oversight and that he loves Asher and having her on the team. I wish I would have just been mature enough to keep my emotions in check to say something right after the g...

I had a couple buddies miss the Jeff Kent walk off the '04 NLCS when some random couple was with us started fighting and the guy shoved her. They immediately grabbed him and led him outside before delivering a few blows, then coming back inside to celebrate the HR they missed.

Our league has rules like that too which I was not aware of until this past weekend because this has never happened in the eight seasons we've played between our two daughters. When I played youth basketball it was 1 quarter play, 1 sit with no subs in first half. Third quarter was half and half wit...

Fuckin' urgent care visit later this morning it looks like. Kelli is going to e-mail the coach. She's fired up too and if she wants to take the lead, she'll probably keep her emotions in check better than I would. If this was intentional, we are out.

Anyone else suddenly beset by a variety of MAGA and other conservative ads? It just started within the last week. Before that, it was mostly Liver King, various stupid dropship products, and dumb phone games (I actually still get these). My favorites are the ads for games with reader's notes that s...

Fucking long day yesterday. Up at 5 to Philly to watch my son row in terrible conditions. Finish that and then drove 30 miles south of DC to catch my daughter's solo at the dance competition she had all weekend (which I was at until 11 pm on Sat). Well daughter got her first Platinum Pro (which Gif...

Welcome. Your feelings are perfectly normal and accepted here. My name is citgo. Trust me Asher will be nowhere near the level of y’all’s kids even if I think she could be awesome on defense if she learned how to use her body. But 10% of a u-9 game is ridiculous and also against the rules which has...

Dunno. She played 5 minutes of a 50-minute game. And it’s not a skill thing or anything like that. Zero idea why it happened other than him just completely spacing that he had a girl named Asher on the team. She’s not the best but there’s literally a girl who just moves in circles at her spot who pl...

Crash of 18-wheeler into Texas Department of Public Safety office was likely ‘criminal act,’ sheriff says Guy was apparently denied a CMV license yesterday. Pretty extreme overreaction. Scott Drew should probably be the first call. I don't see Hurley leaving, and Oats would probably be the next call if Drew isn't interested. He just leveraged a new contract and a new arena, though. so leaving Waco not a priority. You shut your mouth. It's gonna happen. Be extra hilarious that he s...

I think he would be found guilty now because the DNA evidence would've been better understood, but even then there were questions about chain of custody, right? And the glove thing was such a huge blunder that I felt that it was over right then (hot take!). For the life of me I can't remember a real...

Nice Giff. Running a little parallel here because my apathetic B- 6th grader has turned into a straight As, pissed off with anything less 7th grader. Let's age ourselves, where were you when the verdict came down. Senior year of HS, left class and went to the senior lounge where someone had a radio. My wife and I have a running joke about Panera Bread. We rode with another couple from Houston to a friend's birthday party in Fort Worth. The next day on the way back, we stopped at the best fried chicken place in the state where each order is half a bird. My wife will have the breast and I'll take...
