More reason for hope:

STL struggles mightily against left-handers. Dodgers have two of the best starting the next two games (not to mention that Greinke is available out of the pen during a possible Game 7)

When Beltran was last a free agent, after 2011, did any other club make a serious run at him? I admit, I was relieved the Giants did not make him an offer, and I would've objected to two years/$26 mil. Sure worked out.

Its gonna be an even rougher weekend after UCLA gets worked against Stanford.

Luckily the Lakers are about to get started.
