Re: Random Politics
But there are people who supposedly care about gay rights who aren’t that worked up over Trump getting to appoint more justices.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Katie Hill’s former staffers are NOT happy about her getting the hero treatment from a new TV movie and make some pretty astute points in this thread. Hill claims this is a “hack” but the thread sure reads as legit.

I'm on team Stormy, but this administration's debasing of the Presidency is astonishing.

This is exactly right. Seriously. Just get someone that forces both candidates answer a question. It's actually not that hard, you just have to not give a shit. That's impossible with the moderators and networks. Should just get some hard ass law professor to do it.

I had a pre-law/American history professor do that when you had to get up in front of the class and do oral arguments on readings or whatever (go for it ... crew).Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 12:43 pmThe Sybian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:32 amCan we get that guy to moderate the Presidential debates?

You'd say something and he'd stop you in front of everyone and say "vague, explain yourself". And if you fumbled he'd just hammer you "well you could make a cogent point but you're dancing around it, did you comprehend the reading or do you need help from your classmates?"
He was a hardass but made me a better student of history for sure.

I need to watch it, or maybe even read the book. I didn't have him, but the main inspiration for the professor character taught at BU Law when I was there. He was 88 years old, maybe 120 pounds of bent and shriveled skin and bones in a baggy suit, but he still scared the crap out of me. Really only talked to him once, and he was extremely jovial and friendly, but he intimidated me. And that was before I knew he was the legendary hardass. I think he mellowed out, as the section he taught didn't seem to fear him.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 1:50 pm

Re: Random Politics
I was informed that our company's services were no longer needed the day before it was announced that last year's show got four Emmy nominations. Since that time, I was asked by the new company replacing us if I had interest in returning. I declined and, with every piece of information to come out since then, I feel better about my decision.sancarlos wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 3:08 pmDsafe opts out?DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 3:02 pmBy the way, have fun.

Yeah, draw a straight line across the state through Lansing and anything north of there can get really fucking weird at times.

Re: Random Politics
Wouldn't it be $82.50? 100 percent match would be $10 for a total of twenty, two hundred would be $20 to go to thirty, etc.

My Zaida was a math teacher. He would not be very proud of me for that calculation.
