Raining in SE Jersey, supposed to keep up through tomorrow afternoon or evening. Got out in the water earlier and the riptide made it too much work to go get beat up by the waves. Surfers seemed really happy, though.

Good luck if any of you are looking down the barrel of bad.

Not looking good for day two of my daughters soccer tournament. Got out with a few showers today, about 10 minutes before the deluge. Pushed back all games 4 hours, doubt they’ll play. Tournament is at an enormous turf farm, they can’t risk damaging the turf and dirt roads driving in turn to mud pits.

Ended up spending an extra day in Boston to avoid driving through CT during all this with a 10 month old puppy.

hunkered down at home since saturday evening. Rain, rain and more rain. everyone slept in on sunday. it was glorious. hung out with the boy and his massive lego collection, turned the arsenal game off and did make a roaster chicken in the slow cooker. yum.
but the storm? we had brought all the plants and other detrius in from the deck (sat they predicted big winds, none came). the boy will be putting it all back today after practice.
