That sucks. Iconic drummer.
BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.

Re: Charlie Watts
Back in 1989, I had a chance to see the Stones in Vancouver, on the Steel Wheels tour. I thought 'I better see them now...they won't be alive much longer'.
Re: Charlie Watts
I saw The Stones four times. Twice in Miami and once in Jacksonville for the Steel Wheels tour - and then once a few years later in Tampa (Voodoo Lounge tour).

At the time, the joke was that it was the "Steel Wheelchairs" tour.DaveInSeattle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 7:11 pm Back in 1989, I had a chance to see the Stones in Vancouver, on the Steel Wheels tour. I thought 'I better see them now...they won't be alive much longer'.
Not to be harsh, but they've been an oldies act for 40 years or so.

Re: Charlie Watts
Disagree. You can probably argue they were a nostalgia act around the Voodoo Lounge tour of ‘94, but Tattoo You and to a lesser extent, Steel Wheels were both solid enough LPs that merited the touring.Pruitt wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 7:45 pmAt the time, the joke was that it was the "Steel Wheelchairs" tour.DaveInSeattle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 7:11 pm Back in 1989, I had a chance to see the Stones in Vancouver, on the Steel Wheels tour. When I saw them in 1981, we figured they’d break up before they toured again.DaveInSeattle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 7:11 pm Back in 1989, I had a chance to see the Stones in Vancouver, on the Steel Wheels tour. I thought 'I better see them now...they won't be alive much longer'.

Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Re: Charlie Watts
And sure...they weren't putting out great albums anymore, but we saw them a couple of years ago, and they were great. Not exactly at the same level as Mike Love and a bunch of Hired Guns playing as 'The Beach Boys' at a State Fair near you.EnochRoot wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 8:18 pmDisagree.
