That sucks. Iconic drummer.
BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.

Very under-rated, in my book. Not super flashy (always played on a small, simple kit) but rock solid.

Back in 1989, I had a chance to see the Stones in Vancouver, on the Steel Wheels tour. I thought 'I better see them now...they won't be alive much longer'.

I saw The Stones four times. Twice in Miami and once in Jacksonville for the Steel Wheels tour - and then once a few years later in Tampa (Voodoo Lounge tour).

At the time, the joke was that it was the "Steel Wheelchairs" tour.

Not to be harsh, but they've been an oldies act for 40 years or so.

Disagree. You can probably argue they were a nostalgia act around the Voodoo Lounge tour of ‘94, but Tattoo You and to a lesser extent, Steel Wheels were both solid enough LPs that merited the touring.

When I saw them in 1981, we figured they’d break up before they toured again.

They kinda did right?
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

And sure...they weren't putting out great albums anymore, but we saw them a couple of years ago, and they were great. Not exactly at the same level as Mike Love and a bunch of Hired Guns playing as 'The Beach Boys' at a State Fair near you.
