NFL Week 4
Numbers are crazy early on - schedule strength impacts so much. These are all wrong but I'mma post them anyway.

If Denver beats Baltimore by three touchdowns, I'll be a very surprised/happy kid.

Re: NFL Week 4
After watching the Jets fail to tackle far less talented RBs than Henry and seeing their abysmal corner play, I think the Titans put up a lot more than 21 points. 7 points against a bad Titans defense sounds about right for the Jets.

Denver is one of the ones that I cannot punish enough for schedule strength so yeah I don't believe that at all but I'm letting the numbers do their thing.
It also probably thinks the Jets defense is good because other teams have essentially just decided not to score after they get out to a commanding lead.

Eagles probably won't be within 10 points after the first few minutes.

Re: NFL Week 4
I flew to Cincy last night w/ geep for the game tonight. This is the first me where the bengals are finally doing a ring of honor. Their first four inductees are paul brown, ken Anderson, Ken Riley and Anthony Munoz. Riley sadly passed away last year. I grew up in the late 70s rooting for Anderson and Riley and then Munoz was drafted in 1980. Thought it would be cool to cheer for that crew one more time (Riley’s son will be there for his dad) - I was 11 when they went to super bowl in the 1981 season.
All of which is background to this… I met Kenny Anderson just now! He came into Holy Grail (bar/restaurant downtown in the Banks between GABP and Paul Brown stadium where geep and I had decided on for lunch. I got a chance to go over and thank him for the good memories growing up cheering for him and that I had flown back to cheer for him one more time. Even got to shake his hand. It was very cool and weirdly meant a lot to me. Life is strange and turning 50 has made me nostalgic.

Maybe they should put Kenny Anderson in the game.

Well, at least if Cincy goes down tonight, it’s one less thing I need to worry about come Sunday.

I’m glad you got to experience that Aaron. Sounds like an ideal day for a Bengals fan.

I'm just holding out hope my son stops caring about the Jets season and one day soon I can have a Sunday with him having a mental breakdown.

I've already prepped my kids since the draft that this year that the Eagles are going to be hot garbage, and simply take this year to look at the development of the young guys.

Twitter is teeing off on Nagy. Hard to imagine he makes it to Halloween. Might be out by Columbus Day if they lose to the Lions Sunday.

Re: NFL Week 4
It's a stupid attempt at gamesmanship. Fields practiced in full Wed-Fri this week while Dalton was "limited" each day, but had a bone bruise in his knee, which normally takes a minimum of three weeks to heal.
Besides, based on the playcylling last week, it certainly doesn't seem like it would affect a defensive game plan much.

Re: NFL Week 4
I can tell you Fields will go like 5-for-22 for 56 yards but run for like 125 yards in a 20-17 Bears win. Book it.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 3:42 pmIt's a stupid attempt at gamesmanship. I have the Lions winning. They may not be good, but they play hard. Re: NFL Week 4
No matter how much he understands they suck and will likely lose 15 games this year, hell, I don't see how they win one, he still watches and blows up when they play like shit. At least he's outgrown the crying, I hope. Also helps that he stopped making a weekly podcast about the Jets. Probably didn't help that he had so much access to the team and felt like he was friends with some of the players and back office people. Made it a lot more personal, and gave him an unrealistic expectation of how good the team/players were.Brontoburglar wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 1:00 pmwowThe Sybian wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 12:15 pmI'm just holding out hope my son stops caring about the Jets season and one day soon I can have a Sunday with him having a mental breakdown.

Re: NFL Week 4
It’s a fair assessment of the Lions that they play hard and they’re probably not as bad as many people think. A good team like Baltimore had to hit the longest kick in the history of the sport to beat them.

Bunch of clump dogs.

Re: NFL Week 4
Titans are missing two pro bowl WRs this weekend, they lost their best TE in the off season and are also down to two OLBs on the roster, so passing and pass rushing look out of the question. They might make the Jets look good on Sunday...

Jets are down 4 safeties and they havent had an NFL caliber corner for a couple years. Offensive line is horrendous. Titans will be just fine.

I waver between Henry will have 250 yards and this is the perfect spot for Wilson to find his first success. I stayed way away from this one in survivor. The Sybian wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 8:31 amJets are down 4 safeties and they havent had an NFL caliber corner for a couple years. Re: NFL Week 4
Just got the push note that Gronk is out and not traveling with the team. I think earlier in the week he was "doubtful," but he's been downgraded.
I thought he was looking hurt in last week's game. I believe he was injured and just kept playing through it.
