NFL Week 16 COVID Strikes Back (and Fantasy)
Y'all helped me out last week, so I'm back for more advice. Herbert beat Allen by 3 points, and I won my game by 1. I should have asked for RB advice, because Michael Carter's 1.5 points almost cost me.
RB2 this week:
1.) Michael Carter is playing the Jags, so much better matchup than last week
2. and 3.) Darrell Henderson or Sony Michel. All indications from McVay is that both backs will play, and he will go with whoever is
playing better. Last week Michel looked better, but I like Henderson more. Is he hurt? Who knows.
4.) Ronald Jones is available on the wire. Other 3 remaining teams are pretty loaded at RB, so no takers. He isn't great, but with Evans hurt and Godwin out, maybe they rely more on the run this week.
This is a keeper league with 3 years eligibility on keepers, and we keep them on a progressive scale based on where they were drafted. FA pickups count as an 8th round pick. I am still holding McCaffrey, but this is my 3rd year keeping him. If I drop him, someone else can pick him up and keep him next year giving up a 7th round pick. I know most of the guys out of the playoffs aren't paying attention. We have auctions on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm debating dropping McCaffrey on Saturday and bidding for him on Sunday. Very few moves happen on Sunday auctions, and I have more of my budget remaining than 2 of the teams remaining. Do I just keep McCaffrey on my bench so nobody else can grab him, or do I try to pull off a sneaky move? After the last 2 years, I'm sick of carrying McCaffrey, and we can keep a max of 4, and I'm in good shape for next year. I drafted Cam Akers in the 16th round, so I can keep him for a 15th round pick next year.

Fournette was put on IR, please pick up Jones. He is likely to get the bulk of the run game for Tampa Bay. Carolina started off the season with a great run defense, but have given up 4.3 yds/carry and almost 135 yards/game in their last 11, and TB has one of the best offensive lines in the league.

So this is the 49ers team that is a dark horse for the Super Bowl?
Not with that QB.

Jimmy G threw the game away for sure. I thought they were going to run away with it until the horrible INT in the end zone.

Re: NFL Week 16 COVID Strikes Back (and Fantasy)
Niners need to cut Garoppolo after this season and not bother trying to build a market to trade him. Doing so would take $25.6 million off their cap and leave just $1.4 million in dead cap. Try to bring in a solid veteran backup to be a security blanket for Lance.
With Kittle, Samuel, Aiyuk, and their ability to plug-and-play a variety of running backs in their offensive system, Garoppolo is hindering their playmakers with his inaccuracy.

Oh man. My opponent planned on riding Lamar, picked up Huntley today. He had Kittle against my AJ Brown Thursday. Let the whining texts commence!

He has time to jump on the Josh Johnson train! He can cement himself into Ravens fans hearts forever tomorrow. I have an eye for fake snow and that’s a pretty good job by Fox. I like that they went beyond the immediate set and have it in the way in the background.

Convenient time for the refs to miss an obvious defensive hold.

Browns have an average QB like Tannehill or a mediocrity like Heinicke, they win that game easy.

Or if they kept running. Three timeouts let's keep throwing the ball.

Re: NFL Week 16 COVID Strikes Back (and Fantasy)
Right? I’m biased starting Chubb in both my playoff games, but he is picking up 8 yards a carry, and Baker keeps throwing INTs. Why the fuck don’t they just give Chubb the ball?degenerasian wrote: ↑Sat Dec 25, 2021 8:55 pmOr if they kept running. Three timeouts let's keep throwing the ball.

You can’t throw five interceptions until you throw four. I know it was a sentimental night but imitating Favre wasn’t a great game plan.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Re: NFL Week 16 COVID Strikes Back (and Fantasy)
16th play of the drive is 4th/goal at the 4. Bears call a play where they throw to a double-covered running back running a route into the flat and only gain 2.
