Is Jalen Ramsey shaving points?
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Credit to McVay, I thought for sure he'd puss out into OT. Bowles sending the house was idiotic.

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not
I'm going to have to find the highlights of what happened with several minutes left in the 4th and the Buccs down by 2 scores to them coming back.
I stopped watching to get some food and then I come back going "WTF?" But I did see the final drive and the Rams kicking the game winner.
Just a nuts game.

What happened was fumbles. Rams actually stopped the Bucs twice on 4th down at 27-13.Johnnie wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 6:30 pm I'm going to have to find the highlights of what happened with several minutes left in the 4th and the Buccs down by 2 scores to them coming back.

I am trying to wrap my head around Todd Bowles' decision to blitz at all during those last three plays.degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 6:28 pmCredit to McVay, I thought for sure he'd puss out into OT. Bowles sending the house was idiotic.
If you were going for the win, they should've gone for 2 instead of kicking the PAT. By kicking the PAT, they were playing for OT, which means you send 8 guys downfield and keep the BLEEPING PLAY in front of you. So stupid.

The Bucs dialing up a zero blitz there was truly bonkers dumb.
Also, the Bills look terrifying still.

I know nothing but if all the Rams need is 15-20 yards and Kupp can get pretty much whatever he wants whenever he wants, don’t you have to make Stafford throw early?
The execution sucked ass all the way around.

They blitzed on both of the bolded plays, which was pretty freakin stupid.1st & 10 at LAR 25
(0:42 - 4th) (Shotgun) M.Stafford sacked at LA 24 for -1 yards (sack split by N.Suh and J.Pierre-Paul).
(0:35 - 4th) Timeout #3 by LA at 00:35.
2nd & 11 at LAR 24
(0:35 - 4th) (Shotgun) M.Stafford pass deep left to C.Kupp pushed ob at LA 44 for 20 yards (M.Edwards).
1st & 10 at LAR 44
(0:27 - 4th) (Shotgun) M.Stafford pass deep middle to C.Kupp to TB 12 for 44 yards (A.Winfield) [N.Suh].
1st & 10 at TB 12
(0:06 - 4th) (No Huddle) M.Stafford spiked the ball to stop the clock.
2nd & 10 at TB 12
(0:00 - 4th) Matt Gay 30 Yd Field Goal
Eta: Stafford's numbers this year vs the blitz: 74.4 completion %, 9.12 YPA, 13 TD, 0 INT.

the other thing is...we just saw the Rams kicker come up short on a 47-yard field goal attempt. SHORT. So, he must have had some injury issue of some type. So the true area for them to get to was more like the 25, not the 35. Blitz calls made no sense to me.

I bet at least 75% of us here said “Quisenberry” before Nantz did.

They should have squibed the kickoff would have taken a few seconds off, maybe one less play.

Not a good weekend to be stuck sick at home after deciding to unplug from cable.

I think esiason was the one who got to make the “whichever team has the ball last” comment in the studio and I guess that’s never been more appropriate and this has been great

13 seconds. 2 plays, FG range. And it's through. For a game where I have no rooting interest, there's so much drama. Man, this is great.

I wonder if a game like this changes NFL playoff OT?
Whoever won the toss was going to get a TD.

Brutal loss. So tough if you're a Bills fan.
Maybe. Guarantee of 1 possession each and then first to score wins?degenerasian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 10:00 pm I wonder if a game like this changes NFL playoff OT?

That was just stunning. This entire weekend. Man. I can’t believe that 13 seconds - 13 SECONDS - was too much time left.
ETA: the best comparison of this game, especially the last two minutes, I could make for another one was the NCAA final a few years back when Carolina hit an acrobatic game-tying three, and then Villanova basically ran a hook-and-lateral for a buzzer beating three.

My stupid idea that I’ve probably said before is that if the game is tied after 60 minutes, you just continue as normal until the next team scores.
You just tied it at the gun? Cool, now kick off. You’re on the 27 yard line and it’s 2nd and 8? Great, keep going.

Besides not squibbing it to kill a few seconds - this so made no sense. Buffalo should have tackled every chiefs receiver on the first play and taken the five yard holding penalty…
