Is that thinking Turner would play the ball or fear of the OG or ???
Haven't ever agreed more with HC than this point. That's going to go on an all-time reel for ball-watching. Dude just switched his brain off there and left himself in another cliche-no man's land.
Spoken like a true goalie!
But I agree with my limited knowledge.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Another sign of where we are with talent is the case of Tim Ream. This is a guy that is closing in on 250 games at Fulham, a team that is all but certain to return to the Premier League next year. I'm not advocating for him to get a spot, but I am saying it's interesting that a journeyman guy like this is the Championship is in the same boat as Brooks.
The Athletic had an interesting article recently on Ream.

Yep, where I pulled that 250 stat. I had no idea he's been such a mainstay over there, tbh. Kind of out sight, out of mind. Frankly, he's in the same boat as Brooks in terms of pace.

Also they are not yet in the World Cup Qatar 2022
I stated this in an earlier post and I am completely aware that Wales have to beat the winner of the Scotland vs Ukraine match. I am excited because this is the first time since 1958 that Wales have even been involved in the WC finals draw.
I do not know enough about the US team to say whether they would be a real handful, I am saying that Welsh fans would not fear the matchup with the US in the same way they would playing at least 10 + other teams (England, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, Serbia, Poland & Senegal) regardless of the world rankings.

Poland and Senegal?
Okaaaaaay
Just to be clear, in my opinion most of the top teams in this World Cup are technically sound and organised defensively. These have been the greatest growth areas in international football over the past last 25 years. So lots of teams are a lot harder to beat, without posing a fantastic threat offensively.
Poland and Senegal both have game changing forwards that the USA don't have...

Reyna hurt. Hope it isn't too serious.
Doesn't look great. Pulled up with a hamstring injury just 1 minute into the game. The way he is crying after leaving the field isn't promising. There has to be an issue with stretching or conditioning or something if he is suffering muscle injuries at the beginning of the game.

Plenty of time to heal a hammy before WC.
I just want him to get games in and get experience, he was out injured almost the entire season! He should be fine by the start of the season, let's hope this isn't a chronic injury issue.

Wait, this happened again? Didn't he just leave in tears a few weeks before the final qualifiers?
Yep. He missed 5 or 6 months. He came back and came on as a late sub, started the next game and went out early with a leg muscle injury. I'm not sure if it's the same leg.

If my count is correct, that's 8 fields in the US with artificial turf. Is this just going to be a thing now with FIFA?
They might require a switch to grass. They did that in 1994, even the Silver Dome had grass. I remember some stadium, maybe the Cowboys, had a grass field that on a platform that rolled out of the stadium to get direct sunlight.

Scots v. Ukraine tomorrow on the Deuce for a chance to play Wales.
Thanks, I would have missed this. Not sure who I’m rooting for though
Usually, the Ukrainians would be a tougher out than the Scots for sure, but obviously they have a lot on their minds. Being of Scottish heritage that's who I'm rooting for, but it's also in the USA's best interest for that spot in our group to go to the weakest possible team (which sadly is probably Scotland).

Yes and Scotland has a world cup curse of never getting out of the group stage in 8 attempts.

Good on the Ukrainians. I happen to be of both Scottish and Welsh heritage but wouldn’t mind seeing the Ukrainians in Qatar. As a fuck you to Russia if nothing else.
I was hoping for a dull draw, extra time and penalties. Ukraine are excellent and well deserving of their victory, if they turn up and play like that on Sunday, it will be really difficult for Wales to get a result.

Well, Wales get Ukraine in Cardiff on Sunday.

True. Though Wales will have the best player on the pitch Sunday and that’s not nothing.
