I imagine there's a Mistuh D somewhere over there breaking out his beloved "oy lads, maybe this is what takes the piss out of him" response.

He's lost 34 Ministers at the latest count, rather careless of him.

I also saw the Labour leader is promising to resign if the police fine him for breaking covid rules and that decision is supposed to come down this week.

I'm ignorant of UK politics in general. I know Boris is a doofus, but are his policies especially shitty and/or especially corrupt? Or is he just such a doofus that they're trying to oust him on general principle?

More that latter than the former I think.

There are plenty of shitty people in the armed forces, and educational attainment doesn’t make you a good person.

I watched a video about his pre-PM life...and how the hell did he ever get in a position of responsibility for anything? And he had 5 kids with women who weren't his wife...while being married? How is that ugly MF'er, with that ridiculous hair, pulling that?

We should have known he was doomed from the moment Trump said he was Britain's greatest Prime Minister since Churchill.

I've been saying to my wife for a couple of years now that I can't believe we haven't been having political assassinations in the US. Tensions are so high, we are so divided, we have so many guns, and there's a growing sense that politicians are never held accountable. It's really shocking to me that it hasn't started yet. I wonder if the assassination of Abe will be the first domino.

The fact that Obama and Trump made it through their terms without anyone trying to kill them is a tribute to the Secret Service.

Large groups of people in public areas are softer targets.

You need a real idealist with a political motive to off someone in government.

I have been waiting for someone to take out the Right Wing Extremists' prime targets for a few years now. There are "politicians" out on the stump actively calling for violence against political enemies on a fairly regular basis now. You have an increasing number of political ads with candidates toting guns with thinly veiled threats against those that oppose them.

It's frankly pretty shocking it hasn't happened.

Exactly. And on the other side, there are so many extreme Republicans running taking extreme actions, someone is going to decide they need to stop this. The "killing baby Hitler" motivation.

I'm certainly not rooting for assassinations, but it's really amazing they haven't begun.
