So many good roles. Sonny Corleone, of course. But also (offhand) in Brian’s Song, Thief, Rollerball, Elf, Misery, Honeymoon in Vegas…

"Honeymoon in Vegas" is an under-rated movie. Very funny, and Caan was great in it.

His one-off episode on Newsradio where he plays himself getting sucked into trying to understand what makes Andy Dick's character tick is most excellent.

Thief was a fantastic movie. Loved it so much when I first saw it.

Around the same time he starred in "Hide In Plain Sight" which was also really good.

A Chicago sports site linked to a story about his passing with something like "Brian's Song Actor dies", but no mention of his name.

I just learned now by looking on his Twitter profile that he ended every tweet with "End of Tweet." , which is the most James Caan thing imaginable.
