I thought it was an accepted fact that the pizza box in his tweeted video helped the police locate him.

Doesn't appear to be exclusively the reason, but was thought to help in aiding his whereabouts. A poorly translated section of a Romantic article and lack of clarity in the initial post plus it going very viral very quickly gave the idea to everyone.

The app I use to follow twitter was unable to authenticate me this morning (they have suggestions for fixes, but I'm not going to bother yet). Twitter itself couldn't show me any tweets/DMs/notifications for around 36 hours from Wednesday evening through this morning (although it could show me the number of notifications I had).

I've emailed the local paper a few times to complain about the strip, and ask for it to be dropped, based on Adams support for Trump and election denial.

Paranoia alert. I had my twitter feed set to receive “latest” tweets (rather than “top” tweets). Now the star you clicked on to set your preference is gone. It now defaults every time to “for you” (the new name for Top tweets), which are generally right-wingers I don’t follow, with “promoted” tweets. You can change your feed to “following” tweets instead of “for you”, but you have to do it every single time you enter your feed. Grrr…
