And my game limits were wrong too. I suck and NYR sucks and will now lose in 3.

Fair to say that the Rangers have had a pretty solid run of goalie play, in any case.

Whether it’s 2 or 5 minutes that Dumba hit on Pavelski was 100 times dirtier than Eakin’s hit on Pavelski 5 years ago.

I can see why there isn't but, like with Trouba, I still think hockey needs to get out in front of these hits before they're frantically writing rules in response to a horror situation.

Playoffs tonight (so far...)

Are the Devils frauds? I hope not but didn't watch much of this game closely.

No idea what to say about the Leafs. We're now 9 years since "it was 3-1" and it's taken until tonight for me personally to move past the idea that playoff choking and all that bullshit was anything more than narrative crap. But holy shit this leafs team is soooo much better than Tampa this year and then... this happened. Still think they win the series but also think they get swept in 4 increasing blowouts?

Jets just scored twice while typing this... told my wife i would do a shot for Jets goals tonight... brb

Yeah, Bieksa in the cbc intermission said he didn't believe it could be true... insanely close to being blinded though.

Hockey announcers never fail to amaze me...how do they keep track of who is on the ice? And follow the action? And pronounce all those eastern European names?

Winnipeg played some pretty good hockey in November and December, but even then when they took a lead to the third period it was always hang on for dear life. Tonight, up 2-1 on the road, they tucked the Knights into bed, went downstairs, poured a rye whiskey, and made love to mamma. I haven't seen them do that in 5 years. (5 years ago they beat Vegas in game 1 then lost four in a row, so...)

Road teams about to be 6-2 in game 1. Hockey is random.

Jets looking dialed in again in game 2. Connor-Schieffele-Dubois line has been as scary as any line I've seen in the playoffs without Connor McDavid on it.

I can say this now without it sounding like sour grapes but that “roughing” call on Kessel that led to the PP goal from Winnipeg was weaker than Michelob Ultra.

Interference, esp in the playoffs, is rampant with certain teams and it’s crazy the NHL has chosen the devils to really get serious.

The booing from (some) Winnipeg fans during the American national anthem made the local news.

Decided last night that Colorado is just a better team than the Kraken. Better players, who have played together longer. They just punish every mistake.

Not being snarky Dave, but that’s it in a nutshell. Seattle has good players who play their system well, but Colorado has elite players - arguably 3 of the top 10 players in the world. That’s tough to overcome in a 7-game series.

One wonders if the boo-ers know that the Jets’ goalie Connor Hellebuyck, and the guy who was captain until this season, Blake Wheeler are both American.

But, unfortunately this sort of thing happens occasionally in cross-border series’. I remember Atlanta Braves fans booing the Canadian anthem when they played the Blue Jays in the World Series.

Yeah...I'm not a hockey knower, but was watching the game last night with the GF's daughter's new guy, who played juniors and minor league hockey, who was pointing out a lot of the nuances of the game to me....far beyond my "that guy skates fast" in-depth analysis.

Was fun hearing how loud the new building got when they came back and tied the game up.

At one point this season, the VGK had the most Canadian players in the NHL and the Jets had the most American players.

The officials got a call from Toronto during the intermission to even things up to keep McDavid in the playoffs.
