It may be that the reason it only came out as much as it has now is because the legal system demanded it (via the Cohen transcript stuff). I can see it being a bit of an open secret if you're around him a lot but maybe decorum does apply still.

We've probably all been around someone who had to wear depends or something for whatever reason as an older person. And it can be truly odious, especially if unable to change as needed, but it isn't something that the person can control and depends would give people more confidence to go about their lives. It's just that most people don't live under a microscope while they run to lead the free* world.

I vaguely remember learning somewhere that Jefferson didn’t regularly bathe. Unless I’m conflating him with Michelangelo.

Taft had a tub and running water installed into the WH, I would beg to disagree.

Shouldn't there be some sort of SORP (Smell Over Replacement President in the same era) rating scale? John Adams probably smelled awful, but everyone else in the room smelled awful and I would guess Jefferson was about the same so no one noticed or cared.

Last time we discussed DJT stock, it was in free fall. It went down from the $70 range to the low 20s. But, for no good or apparent reason, it has taken on helium again. Up to $54 at today's close. I looked into buying some put options to bet against the stock, and only did not because they were too expensive. Sure glad I didn't do that. But, it is crazy that his cult keeps bidding the price upward on this stupid meme stock.

Never say never, but the criminal defendant should almost NEVER take the stand in their own defense. There's too much that can go wrong. The only time it might make sense is if there's a self-defense argument to be made, or if there's a debate of state of mind, but that's about it. I'm not going to give him shit for that.

Especially him though because not only is he guilty but he's a disaster. There's a 0% chance he doesn't either perjure or incriminate himself even further.

If the actor thought it was going to be a flattering portrayal and it wasn't, either it's the worst actor of all-time or the worst edited movie of all-time. Honestly either scenario is making me laugh thinking what that would look like.

(And yes the tweet is worded badly/awkward.)

From reading the tweet, I was thinking Stan was making the movie - essentially producing it. For some reason, I didn't think of him starring in it. That's quite a compliment to Trump, tbh.

Entertaining myself thinking of the exact moment when Snyder came to the realization. Like was he watching the movie and expecting the pivot to happen at any time and then got all the way to the credits and was like WTF? Or did he realize it earlier and just fumed throughout it? Fun stuff!

He also brayed that he wanted to release his taxes, and would after the election/inauguration/first year as President/first term ... He never intends to do what he says, and his cult followers will end up believing whatever he said he would eventually prove without him having to prove anything. With this, he already blamed the gag order, saying the Judge violated his 1st Amendment Rights by not letting him testify.
