option 3: don't pay attention to either of them or what any political officeholder says about sports to stir up resentment

Don't forget selecting anti-tax shithead Travis Tritt to sing the national anthem.

I'm a child of 90s country. And I never liked Travis Tritt.MaxWebster wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 1:29 pm jk - just scrolling up i can see he's some antivax douche. aka: some douche.

Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
You'd probably be testy too if your last name set you up to be called Travis Twitt for your entire life, even accidentally by people with a speech impediment.

Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
In that case, wouldn't he be called "Twavis Twitt"?

Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
Just make pitchers play through broken limbs. Charlie Morton seemed fine with it.
How do you all get your death notices since I left?
Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
That was one of the funniest/worst slides I've ever seen. Whattya lookin' for down there, Yuli?

Wasn't gonna watch anyway, but definitely not gonna now so I don't have to see the look on his dumb, smug face when the "Fuck Joe Biden" chants start.

Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
Is it possible to control fans? The team/stadium doesn't play the music anymore and they don't hand out Tomahawks.
I remember in the past, the music was never played when the team was fielding, only when batting. But now the fans just chant it whenever.

Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
Quick dumb story. During the 1993 NLCS, I was in my freshman dorm watching it in the tv lounge with a bunch of Phillies fans (who came up to North Jersey). Once the Phillies took control of the Series (Dykstra's bomb late in Game 4), we all started our own version of The Chop, with our arms out, middle fingers up, and chanting "Up your ass! Up your ass!"

You are removed from Central Michigan sporting events for making any gesture that can be interpreted as mimicking Native culture. So, yes it's possible if you want to.degenerasian wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 11:58 am Is it possible to control fans? The team/stadium doesn't play the music anymore and they don't hand out Tomahawks.

Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
I was in the band in HS, and we played at football games, both the pregame show (away) or halftime show (home), and in the stands. My junior and/or senior year (91 and/or 92) I guess coincides with the genesis of "the chop" and for some reason we started playing it even though our school mascot was the Senators, and really the only pushback I remember getting is from some members of the band who thought it just didn't make sense. Teenage me was definitely more bothered by the fact that the Braves painfully defeated very good Pirates teams those seasons than any inherent racism, and we actually had a pretty visible indigenous population/tribe. The song WAS fun to play on the trombone and I was ignorant.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.
Re: 2021 MLB Playoffs
Around the same time, we did "the chop" in my high school sophmore history class because the teacher had no control of the class and that Braves team was really cool. Maybe this is why I eventally became a History major.rass wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 12:35 pm I was in the band in HS, and we played at football games, both the pregame show (away) or halftime show (home), and in the stands. This allergy of pitchers going 3rd time through the order is real.

He’s not a full time fielder right?
