It's currently 13-9 O's and they have runners on 1st and 3rd with one out in the top of the 9th.
So took two of three from the mighty royals then.
Moments after the O's game I flipped it over to the Braves v Marlins, where I watched Acuna Jr foul a pitch off the inside part of his left knee. He went down like a sack of dirt. Stayed in the game for a couple innings in RF, but was replaced when he was due up next. He's day-to-day now. But by the looks of it, that son of a bitch is gonna be hurtin' tomorrow.
He’s leading off tonight. Tough sumbitch.
Any idea as to why Cano wasn't out there to pitch the in the bot 8 with a one run lead vs the meat of the Braves' order? If Bautista was going to be given a night off considering his shakiness of late so they wanted to pitch Cano in the 9th, then why not have him pitch to the heart of the order in the 8th, and either turn to him again in the 9th, or let a lesser pitcher toss to the backend of their lineup?

That was a head-scratching loss, to say the least.

As bad as the AL Central has been the Tigers are inexplicably 9-1 against the NL.

They’ve beaten up on a weak part of their schedule, as they should. Tough stretch after KC. 3 @ ATL, home for 3 each w TB and PIT. I’d be happy w a 5-4 in that stretch. 6-3 would be even better. LAA, TOR and NYY after that. Woof.
3-3 so far. Just took 2/3 from the beat team in baseball.

Their AAA farm team, the Norfolk Tides, are 25-9 and sit atop the International League East Division by 6.5 games. That 25-9 record is best in all of the minor leagues, too. So yeah, help's on the way, too.

Jackson Holliday dominating A ball at both levels so far.

Come from behind win against PIT today with Mullins hitting for the cycle between the 3rd and 8th inning.

Nice! I want to go tomorrow, but I've got to go cook an Italian omelette casserole out in Catonsville in the AM. I dunno how I'll be able to swing it without the day ending in divorce.

My oldest was also there. “Best game I’ve ever been to” was the very excited text I received after the game. I was seeing a show at a local music venue, but was monitoring the game the whole time.

Tyler Wells (leading MLB for starting pitchers in lowest WHIP) goes 7 shutout, Cano and Bautista take it from there and solo HR in first and second from Adley and Gunner Henderson and Orioles get to 26-13 with the 2-0 win.

I am rather enjoying this as Steve Phillips shit on their start mid-week. Fuck you, Steve Phillips, as ever.

I took my dog out for a walk after Henderson connected on his solo shot in the 2nd. As I got back to the house, I saw a couple of young guys (seriously, 80% of the population in Canton is 30-35) wearing alternate O's jerseys (black). the driver was wearing Rutschman (#35), and when his buddy appeared from around the corner, he was wearing Gunnar Henderson's jersey (#2).

I thought about saying something but then realized it was better to just recognize it's cool that the kids in town are wearing O's gear again.

Mitch Keller pitched as good of a game as I've seen pitchers who've thrown no hitters. Just total control over the K-zone and that slider is just silly.

Yeah, good thing the Cubs only signed Bellinger to a year and haven't extended him, so he can be a free agent again this fall.

True, but that should be a formality. They (along with the governor’s office) were the ones that negotiated most of the terms.
