Could you sell one game to pay for two others?

I noticed StubHub had a lot of tickets for yesterday, around and below face value, surprised me. But glancing now, the prices seem firmer for the next round.

Now, it goes up to $216 per seat for the conference finals. If they make the Cup finals, my tickets will be $288 per seat. I'll pay it, but it is getting expensive.
Similar. I did not get my season tix through the playoffs, as they make you pay in full, and I can't go to all the games. I'm paying a hefty fee to go to games 3, 4, and 6 (if we don't close out the series in 5).

Sharks didn't sell out all the time this season. Combination of reasons - Sharks missed playoffs last year and residual bad feelings around all that happened the prior year. The San Francisco media pays little attention, with the Warriors kicking ass and mlb now in full swing. Plus competing for share of wallet is getting tougher with the Warriors, Earthquakes, 49ers, Raiders, Giants, A's, Stanford, Cal, San Jose State, Santa Clara, St. Mary's all in the local mix.

Personally I can suck it up and pay, because I don't go to every game.

Even before Letang came back, Bishop's face and obvious pain drained my anger at Callahan. Man...scary.

Sucks. Vasy is the top rated goalie prospect for a reason though. Hope the team plays like it did last night. I think that team can clinch in 3.

Is it possible Bishop just really enjoyed the attention after last year's injury?

You know, he's got me confused. That looked season ending to me. If it wasn't, why the theatrics? No need to embellish for a penalty call (cough The Tang cough).

As it is the NHL playoffs, we'll never know unless he's out for good.

Well, it's just like we expected at the beginning of the season. Murray vs. Vasilevskiy in the conference finals!

They're certainly in better shape than the Lightning are without Bishop.

It will be interesting to see if that proves to be true. Vasilevskiy is also considered a hot goalie prospect.

So, raise your hand if you're surprised to see that Jeremy Roenick supports Trump. [nobody raises hand]

Yeah, that's kinda what I mean. Pretty sure every ranking has Vasilevskiy safely above Murray and yet Bishop being out would be a far bigger loss.

Whenever Vasilevskiy happens I start mumbling to myself...

"It's in you, it's in me
search for things that you can't see
going blind, out of reach
somewhere in the the Vasilevskiy"

bla blah blablah blah something something
punch drunk and without bail
think I'd be safer here alone
(fernka fernka fernka fernka)"

Not to take anything away from Vasilevskiy, Martin Jones or Keith Murray - they're all playing well - but if things continue like this and the Blues end up in the SCF against the Bolts sans Stamkos and Bishop; I mean; c'mon.

20 years ago today, Steve Yzerman scored one of the greatest goals in Red Wings history.

(Also, how many legendary players on the ice for that game? Gretzky, Lidstrom, Hull, Yzerman, Coffey, Fetisov. Some other HoFers like Ciccarelli, Federov, Larionov, MacInnis, Hawerchuk and Pronger to boot.)

I'm pretty sure Milbury just says stuff sometimes to be controversial or contrarian or whatever, but I think Roenick might occasionally actually believe himself.

I started the game late and FF'd through the first two intermissions. Tappen looked spectacular last night, but I bet I didn't otherwise miss much.

Oh you missed plenty. It was a wonderful game. Sid and Malkin were skating beautifully all night and Vasilevsky either played out of his mind or he's just that good. Kunitz missed about 5 wide open point-blank shots though. He sucks. (I have no idea what I'm talking about)

They didn't make an awful lot about it but even on the OT goal, Vas was in perfect position. He absolutely threaded the needle. Should be a great series.

Kunitz has had a horseshoe up his ass his entire career. If there was a way to measure overall quality of linemates, I guarantee you'd find no bigger outlier from a talent standpoint.

And have you seen the high slow-mo replay from behind the net? Sid shot a fucking slider. Its amazing.

Oh I watched the game. Just not the talking segments between periods.

Before I went into my meeting earlier, people were breaking down Stralman's goal (the second) Zapruder-style, convinced it went through MM's glove. The Pens equipment guy finally posted a picture of catching glove (from multiple angles) to prove there is no hole:

Yeah, they were already playing like crap in the playoffs despite breaking the record for wins in a season, so I don't know if they would have beat Colorado in the next series either way. One of those "what ifs" I guess. Wings could have had three Cups straight maybe.

I just dumped out Kunitz's scoring logs (don't have his first year but that was only 6 points or something). Top six most common players: Crosby (180), Malkin (89), Letang (61), Selanne (61), Getzlaf (57), Perry (49). 75% of his points involve one of those 6 potential HoFers also scoring on the play. I mean ... JFC.

I recall a few times that Kunitz was hit with a great pass leaving him in perfect position for a goal threat within 15 feet, but then he stops the puck, then he winds up for a slap shot and by the time the puck gets there, the goalie has had plenty of time to get in position. It seems to me that if you're going to pass up the one-timer to stop the puck, you should be taking a quick wrist shot, no?
