Ronaldo...sacked!

Ronaldo and Manchester United Part Ways ‘By Mutual Agreement’
Manchester United said Tuesday that the star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will leave immediately “by mutual agreement,” announcing his exit less than a week after he criticized management in an interview and charged the club with betraying him.
Showing once again...nothing good ever comes from sitting down to talk with Piers Morgan.

Do British people even like Piers Morgan, or do they think he’s a twit/twat like the rest of us do?
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

Watch out now for Eddie Howe’s Mags. 11 unbeaten and Miggy continues prove graeliah an idiot. And another clean sheet. It will be a while before I dare to dream of trophies, but man if this ride sure ain’t damn bear enjoyable. Best defense in the top flite. That’s what gives me hope.

Spurs once again looked like Stoke in the first half and Man City in the second.

I am beginning to wonder about Conte. He had 6 weeks to prepare for Brentford away and for 45 minutes, Spurs looked absolutely clueless.

I'm not the biggest soccer expert out there but I'm going to say that Leicester's biggest problem today has been the guy who's scored two own goals.

It’s hard for me to put into words how good I feel about Ten Hag. The way he handled the Ronaldo situation, the way he’s got the team playing, and even the way he handled a simple thing like Rashford sleeping late and being late to a meeting. He’s strong.

Like that fucker Mourinho. Never their fault. Spurs have trailed in their last 10 games. They start games as if they are just limbering up. I have never seen anything like it.

He ONLY plays a formation that requires fast and accurate passing wing backs. SPURS DON'T HAVE ONE!

It seems that Hyueng-Min Son's unbelievable form last year covered up a lot of problems.

This made me giggle. Arteta’s schtick has jumped the shark at this point. It’s fun when you’re beating MANU last April, but I don’t think it’s helping to teach a young Arsenal club about how to keep their composure in tight matches.

I’m biased but I don’t think the Murphy handball was a pen. His arm was in a natural position and he wasn’t looking at the ball. Would have been harsh if given. Then the Dan Burn pen is cancelled out by the first half pen against Burn that wasn’t given.

Would like to know what Swamp neutrals think. I know what Syb thinks.

Fuck, guy can't catch a break. He was finally getting regular starting time, too. At least he waited until after the WC to get hurt.

The thing about a guy like Pulisic is that it's not just bad luck string, it's how he plays. Particularly when he's got the ball at his feet, he plays on the margins. By that, I mean he is running at guys, almost full throttle, and he tries to get them to miss by dangling the ball juussst where the defender will lunge and then he can take a lightning touch to beat the guy.

It's effective. It's also dangerous. The defenders miss more often than not by clattering into him. Yes, CONCACAF tries to chop him down to get him off his game. It's also just lazy in many instances and in others, it's so violent because they are pretty bad defenders and they aren't on the margin as much as just beaten and when they lose the battle it means trucking CP.

I'm not saying he's Messi (ha), but it's a similar deal where, yes, it's just hacking to keep him off his game. But it's a fact that he just beats guys so badly they "miss" by kicking his ankles out.

Sure do wish Pep could find a way to get Grealish on without removing Foden or vice versa.

(2 fouls, a goal and now another foul/yellow in less than 10:00 for the beautiful boy!)

It must be rough rooting for a team that spends $100 million for a guy, but they have so much talent they struggle to get him playing time .
