Neil Walker walks off the Bucs against Chicago, 1-0 in the 10th.

Must have been that marine air making it's way out to Pittsburgh.

No surprise. AA traded for Reyes because he was his favorite player. Never once considered the guy was injury-prone real fantasy gm kind of stuff. If he was healthy, the Mets would have kept him.

KNBR radio, on the internet. The--Sports--Leader. Kruke and Kuipe on Baseball. Followed by the Bruce Bochy Show hosted by Jon Miller. Topic for today, how you gonna use your replay challenges, skip? Next up, Giants Baseball.

Damn this was a long winter. It officially ends. Now.

I thought the Mariners handle this acknowledgement in the pre-season, when their demise is obvious to all but the true believers. At least that's how the Lions and Pistons are handling it now. I hear they're moving to a joint press release system in late summer to make the process of concession more efficient.

Here is one.

Group A
Brian Wilson

Group B
Sergio Romo

Wrong Answers:
One group is formerly effective Giants reliever (That describes both groups)
One group no longer has closer stuff (That describes both groups)

Correct answer:
One group is funny.
The other group is not funny. Despite all his dancing around and living on the edge throwing MF changeups as an out pitch, which ain't gonna last long.

Thank goodness, Buster Posey is still a man. and The Man. Top of the table, 'avin a laugh.

The Reds are on pace to score 0 runs this year. That will make it hard to win.

Also, Billy Hamilton is on pace to strike out infinity times. Would probably be a record.

Oh. Don Baylor. Bizarre injury. Except, in the past he has suffered multiple myeloma, a rare type of cancer of a specific kind of white blood cell (different from the group of cancers called leukemia.) A disease that (among other effects) frequently weakens bones. Profoundly weakens bones. And, he has it again, judging by this fracture. Sucks, myeloma very often kills.

Reds radio guy is intolerable. By contrast, the Cardinal broadcast team - especially the dude with the hoarse voice - was awesome. Was that the guy who is supposedly always drunk?

First video review in which umps fail to correct the call despite clear vid evidence. Then umps blow a second call in the inning, but not reviewable.

You'll be hearing about this sequence in the morning.

Was he whining about the offense and passive aggressively undermining Votto and Bruce? Because that's his favorite thing, poisoning the fanbase against good players.

And Adam Dunn.

He wasn't, I only made it through a few batters because he was so droll. He seems to like Billy Hamilton.

Rays get another "Longoria" deal, locking up Chris Archer from 2014-2019, with options for 2020 and 2021. 2014-2019 6 yrs ~25 million, no full details on 2020 and 2021 options, although there was some word that the deal could be 8 yrs, 45 million, which would mean ~$10m for 2020 and 2021.

Tim Hudson doesn't look quite right in orange, black and grey. But not as odd as Brad Penny. Or Steve Carlton, for that matter.

Michael Morse drives in his first Giants run. May there be a hundred more (but I'll settle for 80 or so.) 2-0 over the D'bags, bottom of 6. One baserunner, a single by Parra, no walks four Ks. I'll get used to Mr. Hudson's visual real quick. (Parra just doubled. Until tonight, 3-11, all singles, two walks, 4 Ks vs Hudson. I love that baseball is back.)

They're going to get swept by the Mariners!

Can you blame them? So many classic Jeter moments over the decades have occurred against the 'Stros. Their rivalry with the Yankees, the dozens and dozens of battles between the teams defines the Jeter Era. They would be remiss not to commemorate all those classic plays Jeter executed on the hallowed turf of Enron Field.
