We need to get a second run of those shirts. Mine finally fell apart a few years ago, but it was a favorite for a long time.

So Pool play tomorrow and Saturday. Ramping up for the season. Also Derby, Hull, and Reading get transfer bans. Good news for the Pool.

Well pool knot their Caraboo cup match in the 87th only to loose in injury time to Sunderland. Maybe somebody should have kicked the Irish international who got the hat trick

The Seasiders secured three points at home against Championship-leading Fulham today. Great win for the lads in tangerine.

just like Man U a big 3-2 come from behind win against Reading. While 12th in the table, only 3 points out of 6th (7 behind on GD).

6th in the table (playoff spot). One point up on Blackburn. 8 points back of automatic promotion (Fulham)

Another reason to support the Tangerines. Part of me really fears for how young he is and all of the shit that he's going to get from UK yobs. The other part of me knows just how much this generation is so much more open about sexuality than previous ones. Good on you, Jake.

I'm cautiously optimistic that he gets 10 times as much support as bullshit. I thought an English player came out a year or two ago and got a ton of support.

Well done to Jake, and blackpool as a club have come out with guns blazing in support. Really good to see. The support from lots of different directions has also been neat to watch.

Isn't Blackpool known as a pretty gay-friendly beach resort?

Sure, though I don't think most of the concern relates to Blackpool supporters.

I just finished a 2015 Bill Bryson book in which he traipses all over Britain, including Blackpool. He portrays the town as a tough, gritty, hard-drinking vestige of faded past glory.

The Road to Little Dribbling? I liked it, but not as much as the original Notes (and his American ones aren't nearly as good as his travels around the UK and Europe.

I liked Notes from a Small Island better, too. The Australian one is also great. But, I think all his travel/humor books have their moments.

Too bad it won’t count in league standings - er, the table. Guess what those two teams have in common.

So bought a 2014-2015 Blackpool Long Sleeve Third jersey on ebay this weekend (sweet black Errea jersey with orange and white vertical stripe down the middle, the blue Wongai add on the front.). Got an email that my entire purchase price was donated to account of the Ukraine Army.

1.) I won the jersey by going really low ball on the "make an offer". Should I now feel bad about that?
2.) Am I now part of the military machine?
