OK, now I seem to remember that it starts out by busting right into the shout stuff.

Then there is a stanza or two--"I still remember when you used to be nine years old" (wtf?)

Then they do shout again

Then they do a little bit softer and a little bit louder and the Let's Go Buffalo part

But then where is the "wait a minute" part? That's like a whole 'nother section. Is that at the end?

Was Gatorade always sweet or do I drink sweet drinks rarely enough that it just stands out more now?

I think it's less sweet than sodas but it seems even sweeter to me lately, to the point I usually only like Yellow and Orange. Red and Blue just too much, unless i make it at home from the powder and then I water it down a bit.

I drank some for the first time in probably a decade over the weekend. It was very sweet. And not the same flavor profile that I remember.

As I've aged I've noticed that a lot of things taste sweeter than they used to (even revenge!)...my guess that's a thing.

I think a friend solved the mystery ... it was Gatorade zero which apparently has fake sugar in it.

Have you tried the one made sugar extracted for watermelons? I sort of like it. It's very mellow on the flavors (at least to me.)

Gatorade/Powerade is very, very sweet. Even when I was younger I'd dilute it with water. I completely stay away from it.

It's marketed as an electrolyte drink, but no one would drink Gatorade if it was just relabeled Pedialyte.

They have their own version of pedialyte now. Its awful.

Gatorade made with real sugar, so I consider that the lesser of two evils vs. powerade. PLus I generally like it more

I like a Gatorade after/while sweating my balls off working in the yard in the summer. That's about the only time (these days) I can kind of justify the sugar water. I like Lime and Orange and the rest just feel like Kool*Aid.

Reminds me of what the trainers used to mix up for us in college, especially during preseason when the turf field temp would get triple digits for many weeks. Called it Bug Juice and it was just a massive infusion of calories with whatever else those nerds thought would help us keep hydrated and our weight up.

I went in my Junior year and dropped almost 12 pounds in 1 week on that fucking turf doing 3 a days. That coach was a fucking asshole and we got him fired my senior year (captains called in by the AD to question us and we didn't hold back.) And I came in weighing 182. My kingdom for being back in the 180s these days.

We got our new dishwasher on Friday. I'm wondering how long it will take for me to develop a good strategy for loading it to maximize space and be organized for easiest unloading (the kids use salad forks as regular forks, so figuring out the individual slots in the silverware holder, etc.).

It's more that I had a good system worked out and now am at a complete loss on stupid stuff like "which end should I start placing bowls at in the top rack"?

Of course, it spit out an error message when my wife ran it last night that suggests it may be installed incorrectly. Dog's food bowl looked clean when I took it out this morning before I knew about the message.

It’s the first time all four teams have won on the same day since September 27, 2009.

Ever think about the continued existence of Wheel of Fortune? I mean, like really thought about it? For many of us, we watched it as kids, then went to school, graduated, got married, had kids, saw the kids go to college, got divorced, got married again, gained 100 pounds, lost 50 pounds, got a job, got a promotion, found a career, found a second career, got our first computer, got our first cell phone, got our first cell phone that’s also a computer, moved to the city, moved to the suburbs, moved back into the city, started taking multivitamins, started taking multivitamins for old people, and here are Pat and Vanna still doing fucking Wheel of Fortune. And people still going on the show. All this time they’ve been doing that. Ever think about that?

I did too!

Edit: I thought the poison part, despite the melodramatics, gave my kidding away. I do not currently run a 1900s apothecary where Agatha Christie characters purchase their evil tonics.

I just thought melodrama was the swamps lifeblood.

Before cash prizes, winners got to buy items in the studio.

I recall the prices as being inflated - and in my memory there were always large ceramic dogs to soak up winners' last $200 or so.

So, my wife is picking up a second to-go order from Moe's since they conveniently forgot to give her the three rice bowls the first time (one quesadilla, four bags of chips). They opted to not remake the missing food while she drove back, so they are remaking it while she stands there (the original food was still sitting there approximately 45 minutes later).

Please hurry it along so she will stop texting me.
