It's really not difficult to see a porn star's film history when you search her by name on a pornhub type website.

Also, yea. I just knew that. She was pretty hot before she went dumb with surgery. I've looked her up before.

Johnnie, from what I hear, Japanese women are so used to being treated like absolute shit, that if you just treat them like a human being, they'll basically do whatever you want.

I have a hard time believing that. But if I can find my Maria Ozawa in Japan, then awesome. Otherwise, I'll continue to stay unmarried. Marriage and kids just doesn't seem like fun.

Oh, that was me rambling. I didn't think you did, necessarily.

It's just that when a white guy in the military says he's getting stationed in Asia the first thing anyone tends to bring up is him having yellow fever.

Surprise...almost all of the female profiles on Ashley Madison were fake...
What I discovered was that the world of Ashley Madison was a far more dystopian place than anyone had realized. This isn’t a debauched wonderland of men cheating on their wives. It isn’t even a sadscape of 31 million men competing to attract those 5.5 million women in the database. Instead, it’s like a science fictional future where every woman on Earth is dead, and some Dilbert-like engineer has replaced them with badly-designed robots.

Those millions of Ashley Madison men were paying to hook up with women who appeared to have created profiles and then simply disappeared. Were they cobbled together by bots and bored admins, or just user debris? Whatever the answer, the more I examined those 5.5 million female profiles, the more obvious it became that none of them had ever talked to men on the site, or even used the site at all after creating a profile. Actually, scratch that. As I’ll explain below, there’s a good chance that about 12,000 of the profiles out of millions belonged to actual, real women who were active users of Ashley Madison.

Not too bad, description wise. According to the internet, it is any demeaning sexual acts involving oral sex performed on a man. Throat fucking, ball slaps to the face, I'd say facials, but that seems to be its own category.

While we're on the topic, I'm sure anyone who listened to Howard Stern towards the end of his radio days or early Sirius days has heard the clip of a porno that sounds like a cartoon duck. I once made the mistake of searching for that video. One of the more disturbing videos I've seen. I don't get why it is erotic to watch a woman get raped in the throat by a guy with an enormous dick.

Porn, as rough as it can look, occurs in a controlled environment. Actors are following a script and there are probably at least 10 people around in a well lit room. Having unexpected rough sex in a hotel room with a stranger would be pretty scary.

Author has done more research - fools and their money...

Men were interacting with bots that were bilking them out of cash.

http://gizmodo.com/ashley-madison-code- ... 1727613924
Ashley Madison aspired to be a global network of people breaking the bonds of monogamy in the name of YOLO. Instead, it was mostly a collection straight men talking to extremely busy bots who bombarded them with messages asking for money. I found a set of email templates called “mistress” which were sent out to urge men to spend money on Mistress Day, a pre-Valentines holiday on February 13. Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman did a huge publicity push for the holiday in 2014, doing interviews about it in the media and blasting out emails urging all members to buy more credits so they can find a mistress in time for the day.
But for you interested fellas, this may be a great time to join (from the Toronto Star):
“Recent media reports predicting the imminent demise of Ashley Madison are greatly exaggerated,” Avid Life Media said in a statement released Monday.
“Despite having our business and customers attacked, we are growing. This past week alone, hundreds of thousands of new users signed up for the Ashley Madison platform — including 87,596 women.”
Women, it says, have sent 2.8 million messages in the past week alone.

Hmmm, a huge scandal outing people as cheating whores, and within a week 8 times as many women join in one week as joined in the entire time the company existed? Sounds legit. Women love signing up when they are guaranteed to be outed as a cheating whore. I really hope few men are dumb enough to send cash to a mistress they never met on "Mistress Day." I'd love to know how much idiot men paid to never actually meet a woman, but to chat with bots who strung them along.

Exactly.

This is the part I don't get, how could men keep spending money to the site and not go on any dates? Was is just simply a sexchat site then and nobody ever met?

On regular dating sites I did get to meet some real girls and only stopped because I got tired of it and it wasn't for me, not because of anything any tricks the website did.

I'm pretty sure that Match.com has fake/bot accounts as well. When I was on there, and hadn't been "active" on the site for a while, I'd get a flurry of women "winking" at me, and when I would go and look at their profiles and try to send them a message, I'd either get a message saying that Account was no longer active or the automated message saying "Thanks, but I'm not sure we'd be a good match".

Not surprised to learn this stuff. Yet another reason to buy my wife some flowers.

Although my brother met his girlfriend (six years and counting) on one of those sites. But he was in his late 40s at the time and was not looking for hot girls in their 20s.

Sure, anything to suck people in. But I did meet quite a few girls and there were girls I knew that were on there. At least 5 from my company alone.

So even if 50% on match were fake, the other 50% is a decent pool. Better than the ~90% fakes on AM. My question is what were AM user paying for? How could they pump money into a site month after month without meeting anyone. On match if I met 2 or 3 girls a month, that was worth the $15 I was spending on the site.

Read a crazy article on Ashley Madison and Avid Media (parent company).

Subscribers had to pay $19 to clear out their account - and most of the time, the information wasn't deleted from the servers.

Sounds a bit like extortion, no?

Yes, it's pretty much the same model as AM. OKCupid did a brilliant takedown of Match a few years ago, but then Match bought out OKC and did away with it. (The gist is it that they make their money of new signees, rather than regulars, so they manipulate the database of prospects to appeal to them.)

A podcast I was listening to was talking about this and I guess on AM you had to pay for "tokens" that allowed you a certain amount of opportunities to proactively reach out to people. So, you spend $99 for 50 tokens (I'm completely making that up, but that's the general idea.)

So that's, apparently, how guys could rack up a bunch of money and still not go on actual dates. The rubes were spending tokens, not getting any actual "business" and re-upping. And now you're $300-400 into your "investment" and so you start chasing it... Gamblers mentality.

I heard this morning that AM actually had a "affair guarantee" that when purchased, would put you in touch with escort services. (Josh Duggar had purchased the "affair guarantee" for $250).

Pretty damn ingenious business model. And none of the "clients/users" aren't going to complain, because they are doing something illicit that they want to keep under wraps.
