Too bad this game isn't on CBS, I'd be curious to hear Charlie Davies' take on this.

Mexico goes up 1-0 on a penalty away at Costa Rica. I watch way too much mediocre soccer if I immediately knew both the guy who committed the penalty (Everton legend Bryan Oviedo) and the ref who called it (Ismail Elfath of MLS).

Fucking McKennie, man. I don’t care if they hold him out of next match too assuming this was legit violation and not some stupid “he met a delivery person in the lobby 5 minutes past curfew” or something.

Turner is making a legit case for the #1. He may not be in Europe but his value and chance for Europe keep going up.

Looks like Canada has 14 men on the field defensively.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but Lleget was the best player first half.

Fucking embarrassment. Nothing going forward, looked shaky as fuck defending on the break. This team has way too much talent to look this lifeless and out of ideas. Gregg has to change the tactics or formation when they can’t break down the defense. And obviously make a fucking substitution when your team is tired and momentum swings the wrong way. WTF is he thinking?

I get the injuries/suspension but JFC two MLS in the midfield is annoying. Does our middle talent hinder our top talent or is it totally strategy or what because we didn’t at all look threatening?

They can’t allow US,Canada and Mexico all qualify automatically, can they? It’s FIFA, so I guess anything is possible.

"Cowardly?"

Teams have been playing like that on the road probably since the first soccer game ever played.

Time to back up the waaahmbulance.
