Vegas looked good last night. Jack Eichel might be back to being Jack Eichel. Not sold on Logan Thompson, though.

No, he's going to struggle at times (Thompson). I was mostly laughing at the way LAK played that last minute. There's 1 minute left and whomever it was literally held the puck behind his own net for 20 seconds and then attempted a rush up the ice only to have the puck stolen and and a goal scored within seconds. It was a funny way to lose a game if you hate the Kings. I'd have had more respect if they would have just held the puck for a full minute and secured the loser point because that's certainly what it looked like they wanted.

Real missed opportunity by VGK to not go shiny bucket v. shiny bucket.

Those shiny silver Kings' helmets made their heads look like ball bearings.

Laviolette does not make it through the season right? Was wondering if he would be here in 3 years when Ovi breaks 99s record, but I wonder if he will be here when he cracks Howe's this season.

I really doubt anyone cares, but here's a deep dive into the play at the end of the VGK-LAK game. It was really so bad that if it happened in a Stanley Cup game it would be talked about for years. But crazy shit happens in the regular season all the time.

This sucks for the Coyotes, but then again, they are tanking for Bedard/Michkov, anyway…

Prolly just you and me on this tip, but, yeah...

I have to wonder how much the management gives him leeway with Wilson and Backstrom being out. But, still, man... Ridiculous game last night against VAN. Nice to get a win, I guess, but they are just extremely sloppy all over the ice.

Saw a story that the team was working on an extension. That is surprising. Caps are getting old. Don't see the next 3 years as chases for the cup or even building for a future run, but rather a enjoy the ovi coronation.

Hockey is a funny game. Sharks were a very deserved 0-5 coming into tonight’s game in Madison Square Garden against the excellent Rangers. So, of course they outshoot NY 16-2 in the third period and win the game in OT.

The new VGK alternate jersey is the first glow-in-the-dark jersey in major pro sport history.

Maybe they’re playing at the Superdome in New Orleans?

Love the concept of retro jerseys for a team that hasn’t been around as long as some of the food in my pantry.

I could try to conjure up some shit talk about what really motivates the LV franchise... Their pregame got to be pretty damn annoying to watch during the Cup... But I'll leave it alone.

Yep. Pens/Oilers is a holiday around these parts.

That Bouchard-to-Hyman goal made me smile. Hyman is such a wonderful player.

Crosby just scored. He's kinda wonderful, too.

ESPN showed the visitors locker room at SAP Center and I know there’s no standard or expectation for amenities but I’ve legitimately seen high school locker rooms that were better.

The half-full SAP is kind of doubly disappointing because I would have expected more VGK fans there.
