Is it just me or does Luton play on a particularly tiny pitch?
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.

Re: EPL 2023-24
The camera angle does it no favors and it's on the smaller end of the sizes in the Premier League, but not awfully so.
Roughly the same size as Craven Cottage.

Re: EPL 2023-24
That link says premier League allows 90-120m long and 45 - 90m wide. They're not trying hard enough. Seems like some promoted clubs would try to get an edge
Re: EPL 2023-24
Without watching and knowing if there was a ton of stall tactics, Arsenal scoring 7 minutes into the 6 minute extra time is just lovely.
Re: EPL 2023-24
Erling should have been more pissed about those sitters he rocketed into the stands.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Fantastic until he insulted Men’s soccer in the US. I had a glimmer of hope he was paying respect to the future of USMNT, but no, he was talking about Messi.

Depending on how you choose to define primary position, City don't have a true midfielder in their starting XI. Wish I could give Kalvin Phillips a hug.
Re: EPL 2023-24
How long before Pep complains that City needs to buy a slew of those missing midfielders?

United are only 3 points back of City.

I think he knows we can’t afford to spend like the Chelseas and Arsenals of the league.

Re: EPL 2023-24
i've never rooted for a soccer team in my life that has played a game like that today. so that's what it's like - fk that was fun. Could (should) have had more than 1 but 1 was enough.
Re: EPL 2023-24
Yeah, this is the opposite of Tottenham. Villa absolutely deserved all 3 today and the worst I’ve seen City look in a really long time.
Re: EPL 2023-24
The first 20 minutes of Spurs/West Ham have looked like a hockey power play.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Re: EPL 2023-24
and giving up 2 shorthanded goals. Sigh.

Cole Palmer has taken over the title of "Most English looking guy"...displacing Anthony Gordon at the top of the rankings.

If Forest could play to the level of its fans, they'd be in Europe every year.

Just maybe this is not for him if he likes life
Re: EPL 2023-24
That makes sense to you and me. But, to an athlete in his prime who is able to command a big salary... It will probably be hard for him to walk away if they clear him to play again fairly soon.

Maybe Everton should have a points deduction every season.
Re: EPL 2023-24
Man Utd playing with a retro red devil shirt badge, except the keeper who has the usual badge. Never seen two different badges on a team before. Guess the budget didn't run that far.
Re: EPL 2023-24
Liverpool gonna want that 4 (5?) on 1 chance back.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

Re: EPL 2023-24
Chelsea one-upped that by blowing a 3-on-none. (does the goalie count in that math?)
Totally Kafkaesque

Re: EPL 2023-24
The pelting rain/hail in the Bournemouth/Spurs game looks painful.
