MLB Season Over/Unders

Post by Gunpowder »

Forgot about these.

Red Sox 87.5
Rays 87.5
Blue Jays 79.5
Yankees 85.5
Orioles 78
Tigers 89.5
Indians 80
Royals 79.5
Twins 71.5
White Sox 77
Athletics 89
Rangers 86.5
Angels 87.5
Mariners 80.5
Astros 63.5
Braves 87.5
Nationals 87.5
Mets 73.5
Phillies 76
Marlins 69.5
Cardinals 91.5
Pirates 84.5
Reds 83.5
Brewers 79.5
Cubs 68.5
Dodgers 93.5
Diamondbacks 80
Padres 78.5
Giants 85.5
Rockies 75.5

Ones that jump out a bit:

- Orioles keep getting disrespected, I'll take over 78 again.

- I don't see Indians magic this year, I'll go under 80.

- White Sox are still awful, so under 77

- I don't think the A's quite get to 90 wins

- Angels still suck, under 87.5.

- Mariners should still suck, under 80.5

- Braves are a 90-win team, over 87.5

- Marlins should be much better than last year - over 69.5 is tempting

- NL Central is tough - Cards under 91.5 and Reds and Bucs both over

- Brewers are still hot garbage, under 79.5

- Padres under 78.5

You guys see any that stand out? My favorite is probably Brewers under.

Cardinals under 91.5 is the one that jumps out at me.

Love seeing the A's and Dodgers with high o/u's. And the list serves as a reminder that the BlueJays will continue to be a disappointing trainwreck that will leave me and degenerasian bitching relentlessly about their bizarre unwillingness to fire hopeless John fucking Gibbons. Seeing Toronto duplicate a 1988 Orioles start would be worth it just to get rid of the guy. If even then.

They still have Wheeler and Snydergaard and Ike Davis can't suck as badly and I don't really want to touch that one.

I also like the O's over 78. And the Cubs need to win more than the Marlins, right? More specifically, more than 68.5.

I see that, but Wheeler will have pitch/innings limits and Snydergaard won't be up until June at the earliest, will also have limits, and didn't spend too much time out of high-A last year.

I can't seem to make sense of the equation Harvey = Granderson + Colon.

Ugh. Gross.

The one that sticks out to me (and SL noted above) is Milwaukee 79.5. No way they're as good as the Royals. And that line for the Royals is about right, if not a hair low.
