2014 PGA Tour

Post by A_B »

Doral playing like a US open course, which it probably would have been at some point if not for the oppressive florida heat in june.

Only 8 guys at par or better midway through second.
Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.

Okay it is the Female side of the Tour on this thread but the 11 year old sounded like she had fun loop yesterday. 15 good holes, 3 bad and the right attitude all day.

It is a travesty she isn't in school. Where is the law preventing her from turning pro until her college class finishes two years?

(Oh, black men only law, got it.)
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Well she is playing an an amateur and not pro...but this does explain why Tiger had to go to Stanford for two years.

But on a more serious note, isn't the 2 year rule negotiated between the union and the league. So isn't part of the problem the union protecting jobs from its vets getting beat out by younger players. (I always find it strange that the union helps determine rules entry to the league when they are not yet representing the players it impacts).

Kevin Streelman birdied his last seven holes to win the Travelers by one stroke. He also one putted the last 10 holes of his round. Pretty impressive.

Tiger bogeys 7 holes, pars 4, and birdies 1 so far today. He is running dead last of the 60 guys who have gotten on the course so far.

Mahan is really cool. Yesterday his wife and daughter came to surprise him but he immediately picked up his daughter and rushed off the green. He didn't want to disturb the final group behind him.

Agreed, he is a cool, stand-up guy.

Having said that, this was his first good showing this season, unless you count a #7 in PGA. He has really struggled and I'm not sure he would be a good Captain's pick for Ryder Cup. He was 25th in Ryder Cup points. Would rather they gave a younger player the experience. We're going to get our ass kicked anyway.

I'd take Ryan Moore and Keegan Bradley for sure. Wait and see on last one for now.
