If you had to buy a US jersey right now, whose name would you put on the back? Based on this WC, I think I'd go with Jones 13.

I like Jones, I'd also consider Beasley and Dempsey cuz they are bosses.
Agreed on their bossness, but choosing Beasley is choosing someone who won't be here in 2 years, much less 4. Although, with jerseys changing every year, that doesn't really matter.

Ahhh, I see what you meant. I have a Mel Blount jersey, so I kind of like the idea of a guy who can't like fuck around and ruin your jersey in the future.

My thoughts as well. He's really pushing forward a lot.

My subs predictions: Brooks (maybe Cameron) for Omar, Mix for Jones (late), and Bedoya for Davis. Notwithstanding injuries.

Welp, I got my wish. I don't feel much better though.
Yeah, I was just going to note that. Not best-case, but pretty good. Looking good for us, so far...

If our game ends 0-0, do the conspiracy theorists come out, saying the fix was in?

The betting sites still don't believe it. they're offering 3.30 right now for a scoreless draw.

Good point. Going into the WC, I would have bought a Bradley, after 2.5 games, not so much.

I wore my old school (2004-ish) Beasley jersey to the bar on Sunday for the Portugal game. I love that thing.

USA players seem to me to be tackling aggressively (and cleanly). (Or am I off base and know nothing?)

Also, if the match remains scoreless deep into the 2nd, do both sides settle back in the last 20 minutes as gentlemen?

Hopefully Portugal comes out and gets a quick goal to start the second half. I'll sweat three Ghanaian goals or three German goals gladly.

Yeah, I bought an Altidore, and when that didn't fit, I bought a Bradley. Never buying a name on a US jersey again.

Sancarlos, both teams are clearly going for it. We'll see if tat changes if it is tied in the 80th, especially if Ghana is winning.

For the last 10-15 minutes, quite possibly. But the US has to sweat at least 30 more minutes of attacking I'm sure.

2-1 and 0-1 Germany does what? Germans have to back off after the winner.

And for those of you guys who do not have multiple screens going, Portugal does NOT look invested in this game at all.
