Re: World Cup 2022 - Qatar

This is the first time Wales have even reached a finals draw since 1958, which probs means we'll lose to Scotland or Ukraine. I would say that whoever makes it out of those three will feel really really good about the group they'll play in. They will all believe that they have nothing to fear with I...

Good friend of mine is a member of LFC Tampa and he won the lottery to buy tickets to see Liverpool host Wolves on the final day of the season. I'm headed over there with him. We fly in and out of Manchester. Hoping to do stadium tours of at least Old Trafford and Anfield, and maybe Goodison as wel...

Re: The OFFICIAL 2022 NFL Offseason Thread

HOF gets more annoying every year... Basically, unless you have been part of a Super Bowl program, you are totally fucked unless you were absolutely brilliant (Boselli in on a short career is an example of this and well done him).. If you have a Super Bowl victory on your resume, you have a much bet...

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not

I'm pulling for Burrow, but I wouldn't be at all disappointed if LA won. It would be a huge payoff for a ballsy All-In play, and if we're just talking Angelino Rams fans, they haven't had their team win it all since 1951. I would have loved for Stafford to have won one for Detroit, but winning one ...

I really want the Bengals to win the Super Bowl and simply I cannot get over how unruffled Joe Burrow is in the huddle and walking up to the line of scrummage after getting his bell rung so repeatedly... Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not

Kinda what Pruitt said … the conversion rate point expectancy shouldn’t be the only factor, win expectancy at +2, +1 and 0 should be as well. I’m sure it was, but it’s not just a >50% for 2 equation. I'd also factor in having Derrick Henry. I think you have a better than 60% of scoring handing the ...

Re: NFL Playoffs 2022 (following 2021 Season) and what not

It’s a funny thing. Look at the case of the favorite quarterback of both Tom1860 and me, John Elway. Under coach Dan Reeves, his stats were pedestrian. But despite only average talent surrounding him, he took the Broncos to (and lost) three Super Bowls. Then, under coach Mike Shanahan, his stats we...

Not the right thread, but can someone talk to me why Troy Aikman is a half of fame QB? 3 Super Bowls and 6 Pro Bowls (1991 - 1996) are great, but his resume statistically is horrible, even in those Pro Bowl years, he was average at best other than in 1993. If you look at his supporting cast, he shou...
