If a year ago everyone here saw that exact sentence with the name of the president redacted, not a single person here would guess Biden over Trump.
Re: Presidential Election 2024
Well, except for the fact that Trump says callous, insensitive shit so often he leaves essentially zero room for some sort of plausible deniability.
Biden's never done or said much of anything that would suggest his heart isn't in the right place.
The whole "let's hold Democrats to a higher standard" is so played out.

Re: Presidential Election 2024
He (Biden) could have also meant he's seen pictures of malnourished children in Gaza (as most of us have) in general. Or they look very similar to pictures he has seen.
This is a dumb thing to try and make an argument.

No, Biden hate kids especially Palestineans. Mr D cracked the case.

I imagine he does. I imagine he cares about Israeli kids as well. Being President doesn’t give you magical powers that allow you to sprinkle fairy dust on a thousand-year conflict and resolve it to everyone’s satisfaction however.

Re: Presidential Election 2024
But what if, hypothetically, a president was actively “sprinkling fairy dust” (supplying an endless arsenal of weapons) that were being used to kill thousands and thousands of children? Couldn’t they just stop “sprinkling fairy dust” (supplying an endless arsenal of weapons)?

(editor's note: An original version of this article noted that Trump said the owner of the store was a member of one of his golf clubs; Chick-fil-A contacted 11Alive to say the owner does not know Trump. It's unclear if Trump may have been referring to someone else.)

Was not expecting brain worms to be a headline this morning...
R.F.K. Jr. Says Doctors Found a Dead Worm in His Brain
R.F.K. Jr. Says Doctors Found a Dead Worm in His Brain
In 2010, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was experiencing memory loss and mental fogginess so severe that a friend grew concerned he might have a brain tumor. Mr. Kennedy said he consulted several of the country’s top neurologists, many of whom had either treated or spoken to his uncle, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, before his death the previous year of brain cancer.
Several doctors noticed a dark spot on the younger Mr. Kennedy’s brain scans and concluded that he had a tumor, he said in a 2012 deposition reviewed by The New York Times. Mr. Kennedy was immediately scheduled for a procedure at Duke University Medical Center by the same surgeon who had operated on his uncle, he said.
While packing for the trip, he said, he received a call from a doctor at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital who had a different opinion: Mr. Kennedy, he believed, had a dead parasite in his head.
The doctor believed that the abnormality seen on his scans “was caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died,” Mr. Kennedy said in the deposition.

Here it is...the dumbest thing you'll read this week...

Trump can win as the anti-chaos candidate
The RFK Jr brain worm has clearly found a new host...This creates an opportunity for Trump to seize the mantle as the anti-chaos candidate. His winning message is not to promise “retribution” against those he believes wronged him. It is to tell Americans: Maybe you didn’t like the way I talked, but the border was secure, the economy was strong (before the pandemic hit), inflation was low and the world was largely at peace. What do you care more about: my mouth or your pocketbook? My behavior, or the behavior of Russia, Iran and Hamas? My insults, or illegal immigrants pouring across our border and overwhelming our communities?
Re: Presidential Election 2024
Very dumb alright. One thing there that upsets me it the idea some idiots believe that somehow Trump has influence or control on the behavior of Russia, Iran, and/or Hamas. If anything, he makes it worse.DaveInSeattle wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 12:23 pm Here it is...the dumbest thing you'll read this week...

But Trump says he does, and his cult believes everything he says. When Putin invaded Ukraine, Trump blamed Biden and said Putin wouldn't have invaded if Trump was President, because Trump would have told him not to. And I've heard countless idiots parrot that. While the logic in the article is stupid, I actually think if Trump took that approach, people would believe it.sancarlos wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 1:40 pmVery dumb alright. Trump being president might actually influence Russia to behave "better" - because Putin knows that he's better off with Trump/GOP in power so would not want to push the envelope so much. The Sybian wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 2:48 pmBut Trump says he does, and his cult believes everything he says. And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

A story in 3 thread titles:
Re: Presidential Election 2024
To invade Ukraine and kill tens of thousands?
Re: Presidential Election 2024
Yes, and without US support for Ukraine. The GOP has made that very clear. I'm pretty sure this war would have gone very differently had Trump been president.
Totally Kafkaesque
Re: Presidential Election 2024
I like that Biden is challenging him to debate(s), but it’d be even more fun if he professional called him a pussy, and point out that he never showed his tax returns like he said he would, so he doesn’t expect him to show up because, again, he’s a pussy.

When I got the notification popup about the debate, I had that sinking stomach feeling. I have no confidence in Biden at a debate. You know Trump will be a bombastic assshole and it won’t matter that he has no ideas or understanding of the issues, but will score points by childishly attacking Sleepy Joe.

The debates for 2016 were many peoples introduction to Trump and most of the country had a major dislike for Hillary because 1. she is a woman and 2. her emails. The Sybian wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 1:28 pmHillary even more so, but he gained at the debates against Hillary.

Re: Presidential Election 2024
Are we underestimating Biden just a little bit? He's a lot emotionally tougher than we've been giving him credit, and this guy has decades of experience in front of the mike. He's also going up against a guy who is clearly in mental decline. I can very easily see Biden chuckling at him, needling him, and getting him off his game to the point where TFG goes completely off script and either shits himself onstage, and/or rushes to attack Biden physically. And since TFG is in bad physical shape, he'd be likely to trip and fall and crack his dumb head open. That sounds like a win/win.

Re: Presidential Election 2024
I've mentioned before my history of being bullied in my youth. And if there's one thing I've learned, is that the majority of bullies are pussies too. If a person just stands up to them, or even better, punch them back, the majority of them will back down. And TFG is exactly the type of pussy-ass bully that would fold. Think of how he was born white, male, and rich, and yet spends the majority of every rally complaining how unfair he gets treated. Show this TFG as the total pussy that he is. Sure, the MAGA dipshits will still vote for him, but just walk him into the trap.
ETA: and I may have said this before. Being born white and male is playing the game on the easiest difficulty level. Being born with rich parents is playing the game after putting the Contra 30-man code in before you play it.
