Thanks gents.

Just hung up the skype with her... both bones broken. Clean break, so that's the good part. My dad is saying he'll bring up her mother in the morning, but with the weather.. most likely he just takes her to Union station and puts her on a train.. hopefully she can be around the week, and then drive down for the holidays.. so she should be with family for the next two weeks.
spoke to the boy last night.. real trooper.. held it together, did the right things.. on the phone was very brave until he just broke down.. (what's th doing with all this fucking dust so early in the morning?) 27 days to go. Have final set of interviews in NYC the week of the 20th-can't afford to blow it.
hm. 9am here.. that's the thing about good scotch. no headache.

I don't have a headache but I sure forgot to drink water last night. Oops.

And sorry to hear about that, ef. My friend fell on Friday too. Nothing broken for her, but a ton of pain. Hopefully it's a quick heal

Been drinking off a bottle of Bulliet since mid afternoon so I can't wait for the niece and nephew's reaction (or more importantly my Mom & Sister's reaction) for Christmas morning & Santa's presents when Uncle Hangover shows up. It looks like you can get that loving feeling back next July 26th, if just for a couple of months (and if you round down to the nearest year).

Happy birthday(?)

Sophia Loren was still hanging on last I saw her. Just checked, and she is 80. Maybe it's been a long time since I saw her. Looking at pictures of her in her heyday, and holy fuck was she a sex kitten!

They have this in Canada now! Don't know what took them so long, last time I had it was 15 years ago in Vegas. Not saying it's great beer but I like it better than Molson Ex and Labbatt Blue.

For God sake man! You live near Montreal, surely there's better beer choices than Coors, Bleue and Ex?

Maybe crack open a frosty Dow!

I'd recommend a Unibrou or Dieu du Ciel. Though he lives in the hinterlands so perhaps his chances are limited. When I was a Easterner I was quite excited to have a Banquet. I still enjoy one here and there (my Colorado born wife likes to make fun of me for this.)
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

If Iron City regular and Heineken didn't exist, I'd consider Coors Banquet to be the World's worst beer.

Ever Had Black Label? Plus the heavy is so much better than Coors Light or the other light beers.

As long as we all agree Heineken is the worst beer in the history of the world, everything is ok.

Heineken is pretty bad - and it's pretty bad in something like 150 countries.

But there's worse. Molson Canadian tastes like a robot's piss.

Heineken just became the official beer of MLS. Yay. (I'm assuming they'll still sell micros at the beer-snobby stadiums. IE, Portland.)
