That sucks Dave. Sorry for your loss.
BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.
Re: Worthy of mention, too obscure for own thread
Really sorry to hear that, DiS. That's some rough stuff.

Oh, that's horrible, Dave. I'm so sorry.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Thanks everyone...guy that I've known and sailed with and against for years, and its wild that he died this way. He LOVED being a pilot (I ran into him a couple of times at the airport, when he'd be all decked out in his short-sleeve dress shirt and pilot tie), and I've heard from other people that this plane in question was getting work done on it, and Darrin and the co-pilot were flying it back to Tacoma to get it back in service. Guessing it must have been some kind of mechanical problem.

That sucks, Dave. At least he went out doing something he loved (mechanical failures aside).

Bob Moore, the founder and bearded face of internationally distributed Bob’s Red Mill food products, died Saturday.
He was 94.
Moore launched Bob’s Red Mill in 1978 with the help of his wife, Charlee, after their family embraced a nutritious diet full of whole grains.

From their website:
So it looks like its not going anywhere...That happy day came in April 30th of 2020: as of our 10th anniversary, Bob’s Red Mill is now 100% employee owned, one of only about 8,000 businesses in the country to achieve this incredible feat.

Don Gullett, Ace for the Big Red Machine, Dies at 73
Don Gullett, a flame-throwing left-handed pitcher who starred for three World Series champion teams in the 1970s, first with the Cincinnati Reds and then with the New York Yankees, died on Wednesday. He was 73.

Willie Stargell, the Hall of Fame slugger for the Pittsburgh Pirates, once said that Gullett “could throw a ball through a carwash without it ever getting wet.”

Even a hypochondriac is right once. (Curious if he figures at all into the finale of Curb. Kind of sad they didn’t get to honor him by writing it into the show like they did Bob Einstein.)

No commentary about Lewis, who was great (can you believe they made him a romantic lead in a sitcom with Jamie Lee Curtis? "Anything But Love"...'89-'92), but is someone really obscure when you get a New York Times alert about their death?
